Mommy Fitness Blog: Fake it to you make it?

May 25, 2011

I’ve been dealing with a small small depression. I don’t know if it’s the hormones in my body or what, but I feel sad constantly. I have a great life, I work from home, I’m not dealing with any financial issues, I’m not overweight, I have a loving family – and yet…I feel sad? Ever since I was little I go through these feelings here and there. I never enjoyed monotonously living without thinking or doing things that create significance…

Mommy Fitness Blog: Feeling pretty awesome

May 18, 2011

I feel pretty awesome except for lack of sleep! It seems that Nicholas has been waking up several times through the night lately…it doesn’t help that Christian likes to wake up at 5:30am now either! So – I feel like a zombie all day. Sometimes I get to rest a little, but then there are times when I’m out running errands, dealing with paperwork and attending a meeting. (like today) After my bleacher workout last week, my back started hurting…

“I am”

May 17, 2011

May 16, 2011 Last Sunday, on Mother’s Day, David gifted me with four books and a date to watch I am at the movies. Besides taking my mother out for lunch, most of my day was spent reading in bed. I’ve already finished nearly two books now! I’m not a big fan of television or movies, but I enjoy documentaries especially ones that inspire, motivate and promote positive change. I am is a movie about Tom Shadyac, a comedy director…

Mommy Fitness Blog: We are pregnant for the 3rd time!!!!

May 13, 2011

Yes, you read that right. My husband and I were so excited when we found out we were expecting again a few weeks ago. Since January, we’ve been contemplating expanding the family. We both agreed that we wanted another child and it seemed rational to have them all close in age. After all, if I wait a couple years, I might feel like I need two more since my first two are so close in age! As I have mentioned…

My new path to baby #3

May 11, 2011

May 10, 2011 My updates have been erratic lately. Most often it’s because in the past I would update this site during late evening hours when I don’t have writer’s block and am free of any distractions. Now, it is rare when I don’t accidently  fall asleep with my children at 9pm. Throughout the day I have some moments in my schedule, but not any  long enough for me to finish a quality paragraph. Secondly, my children are also waking…

Mommy Fitness Blog: There is NOTHING like Naptime!

May 2, 2011

Right no it’s 2:30pm. My boys nap usually from 1ish to 4ish every day…while sometimes I end up falling asleep with them for a bit, I also know that this is the only time I have to sit on my computer and type! Yep, when the kids are awake, they absolutely HATE it when they find me sitting at my desk….especially Nicholas. He immediately comes over, crying, wanting me to pick him up, place him on my lap – so…

Defining Freedom

April 27, 2011

April 26, 2011 Late Friday evening, Nicholas started showing symptoms of the stomach flu. The entire night was spent soothing him and doing laundry. The very next day I felt like a zombie as we packed up the car to set up for my mom-me group’s Circus-themed Easter Party.  Not only was the day mildly cold, but I felt sick, I had no sleep and I felt incredibly exhausted. While the park was soon surrounded by balloons, games, BBQ and…

Mommy Fitness Blog: Digging for Motivation

April 26, 2011

I am so tired. All the time. And – this past week has felt so exhausting since I went to Tahoe, then had an Easter party on Saturday, then had Easter on Sunday BUT I didn’t really have “Easter” on Sunday because the whole family became sick. We didn’t attend church and we didn’t attend the party we were supposed to attend in Auburn. It was a very quiet day. Since David’s brother, Daniel, is in town, I feel like…

creation of a new me

April 19, 2011

April 18, 2011 We celebrated Nicholas’ first birthday this past Saturday. I can’t believe my son is now One year old! It seems like yesterday when this precious being came into my life and transformed my quaint existence into a chaotic yet amazing and loving experience. Christian and Nicholas play ball together now and enjoy climbing on chairs, tables and any toy that gives them height. They love to dance, draw and play. They both have unique personalities too. Nicholas…
