It’s Thanksgiving 2012 and it’s been an incredible year. There are so many things I’m thankful for – here are some of them:
I’m thankful for my family. In just 3 short years, David and I expanded very quickly. Some of it was planned, most of it wasn’t – but in any case, it has been a wonderful, crazy, stressful and fun ride. Watching these kids grow in curiosity, excitement, laughter and love is an amazing blessing.
I’m thankful for my mother, father and siblings. My ‘original family’ has been my biggest support. In a house full of ‘boys’ it’s nice to come back and connect with the original household of girls.
I’m thankful for my husband. I support him, he supports me. We don’t hold each other back and we constantly focus on pushing forward. What a team!
I’m thankful for my friends, especially my best friend, Borina. Since high school we have shared so many life experiences. I don’t know who I would be if I didn’t have her to talk, laugh, cry and confide in.
I’m thankful for my health. Not just my health – but knowing how to eat and exercise. I’ve learned a lot from others these past few months and am continuing to learn how to better treat my body.
I’m thankful for my work. Without serving those in my care home facilities and nonprofit, I would not only have less money, but also less happiness in my life. I’m truly thankful for each and everyone (including my employees) who has positively contributed to our business.
I’m thankful for the ability to travel. I love seeing the world and I always feared not being able to do it with kids.
While it was difficult with a small baby, I’m thankful my husband surprised me with Paris on Valentine’s Day.
I’m thankful for my opportunities. Earlier this year I was a guest on News 10@9 twice. Then I was asked to be on an Acura commercial. Recently I was on Good Day Sacramento twice. I feel so blessed to connect with people at so many different media levels.
I’m thankful for my followers. I’ve had a website since 2005 and just updated my site to add comments. Prior I was very closed to feedback and aloof from the thousands who have read my site weekly. I’m so happy to connect with everyone now, especially on my Facebook page.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone.
