It’s been a lllloooonnngg week. I JUST finished cleaning my house: from laundry, to trash, to dishes, to floors, etc. I am SO much happier when my house is happy. I’m also happy when my health is happy, however, I have NOT been working out as regularly and have continued my ‘life is a workout’ plan for the past two weeks. Every day I wake up sore. Every morning I wake up sleepy. And Every day I go throughout my life STRESSED. Not stressed in a bad way (like anxious wanting to pull my hair stressed) I’m more of a goal hitter so I just see a BUNCH of things that need to get done and just work throughout each day try to kill every fire.
Each day I make a list…in fact, right next to me is my list, which includes 9 things for me to do. Looking at it, I only really completed 1.5 things (updating this site being one of them) I also need to mail our IRS forms for my nonporift, get blood drawn, go to the care home, write two articles, go grocery shopping, print stuff at Kinkos and visit my mom at the hospital.
YES, you read that right. My mother is in the hospital. She had her kidney transplant on Tuesday…and while the kidney surgery went fairly well, she began feeling chest pain a few hours after the surgery. She ended up having a heart attack and needing an emergency stent procedure. It was a very HARD day for everyone in my family. I don’t think we cried or prayed so much in our lives. It’s very scary when you don’t know what the doctor will say when he walks out of the operating room, especially with my mom’s condition, anything could happen.
I’m happy to say she is doing well RIGHT now and will probably be at the hospital for the next few days. She has been one of the biggest influences in my life when it comes to getting involved into fitness. I saw firsthand how being inactive and having a poor diet can truly eat away at your health. She suffers from kindey failure, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and more. She had a stroke at the young age of 33. And all of this was very much lifestyle related.
SO! As you can see…I have been very drained lately.
As much as I had little energy, there was so much I had to get done every day.
I am working out – but of course, not in a gym. More in picking up the baby…running after the baby…walking through the hospital…carrying laundry and groceries…
I’ll post pictures later. Right now I need to finish two things before I leave again to do another thing on my list.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
