Mommy Fitness: Park Workout!

I take my kids to the park 2-3 times a week. Most of the time, it’s during my Mom-Me Fitness Club. I started this free club when I became a first-time mom in 2009 with  my son Christian. I didn’t have many mom-friends and wanted to create a meetup where moms could be healthy while still engaging with their kids.  If there aren’t groups like this in your area, maybe consider starting one. Your kids will enjoy being outside, playing with other children and seeing their moms getting active. You will enjoy it because you will meet other moms, build new friendships and get in shape.

Here is a workout that I do with the group or often by myself – sometimes in my backyard! The big thing here is focus and intensity. I try to perform cardio at least 20-3o minutes a day….so that means you will need to look at your phone and see how long performing one circuit takes for you. It usually take 6-7 minutes for me with 30 second breaks in-between sets.

I made this workout on my phone (just now at 6am on Saturday morning!) so you can “save” the image and keep with you on your phone!!!

      Usually the kids are next to us copying our exercise or playing in the park area (we exercise in the park area). For young babies, they have some tummy time or stay in their carrier. Some moms have brought their pack-n-play or bjorn/ergo…

    Hi maria, love u love ur blog! I have a 5month old and i am just now getting bk into working out again. Do u hav any tips for fighting a flabby stomach and arms (my problem areas)
