It was a very, very busy in the Kang-Casler household. On Saturday evening I was driving around, running last minute errands thinking, “This is the last time I am throwing a Halloween party!” As you can imagine, there is a lot of preparation, including decorations and food. This was a potluck event so I didn’t have to think too much about the menu…in fact, I honestly didn’t think too much about the event until the day before.  I’m very fortunate this year as I had a lot of mommy helpers and not just myself. I was mainly in charge of sending out the Evite, doing the paperwork and decorations and hosting of course! There were so many goodies there – but I fully admit to eating NONE of it. I was so busy! I was THAT busy, I couldn’t even fathom food for five hours! Halloween in fact was a dud this year because I hardly ate any candy at all! Usually chocolate is my weakness too. Especially on my ‘free days.’

Saturday morning I was awake at 5am to train at the gym. It was funny to see some of the usual faces I see throughout the week there. You always kinda wonder who is there on weekends at 5am…or even 8pm for that matter?! I wasn’t able to complete a couple goals last week, which includes the bleacher workout and ten miles. Firstly, the weather was bad. Secondly, the babies and work didn’t allow me enough time to train on Tues and Wed. Lastly, I decided not to be so hard on myself for a second and decided to do the stairmaster for 45 minutes instead of run five miles. I’m bad!

My weight has been stable since last week. I still feel good. I know that I plateau here and there so I have no worries that I’m not making progress. I know that I am eating pretty well…of course, I ALWAYS think I could be eating  better, training harder, sleeping longer, etc. That’s just the perfectionist in me.

Today I did perform bleachers with my friend Adrian. I didn’t get a chance to train in the morning because Christian decided he wanted to wake up at 5am. Funny since I woke up at 4:55am thinking, “wow, I am up and ready to go! I can’t wait to get to the gym so I can get a full 1.5 hour workout in.) and then Christian wakes up…and then he won’t go back to sleep. Then it’s time for my nonprofit bef0re-school program at 7am. While I usually don’t go unless I want to, I HAD to today since my coordinator is out of town. So, I went to the program, with Christian in tow! They loved seeing him!

This week is a really busy week also as I am preparing for Bachelorette and Bridal Shower party this weekend. I also have friends in town (Tanji and Safiya Johnson) – they will be attending/competing at the November 6th fitness show here in Sacramento. I have my engagement photo shoot tomorrow and just lots and lots of other stuff as this is the beginning of the month, payday is on Friday for my staff and so on and so on.

In the midst of all this craziness my goal is to train every morning at 5am (except for Sat) and eat well most of the week. (excluding Fri evening and Sunday lunch)

Mon – glutes

Tue – bleachers

Wed – back/chest

Thurs – shoulders and bleachers

Fri – arms

Sat – cardio

I train cardio every day I weight train and I also include abs in my workout as well.
