Praying for positive outcomes.

December 30, 2009

December 29, 2009 Wow. I cannot believe this year is almost over. It began with the birth of our first son and is ending with the anticipation of our second son.  Life has been busy but quite fast but incredibly frozen. My life these days feel more like I’m going through the motions just so I can get things done. Especially since my mother was readmitted for internal bleeding and was unable to spend the holidays with us.  I haven’t…

Mommy Fitness Blog: Merry Christmas EVE!

December 24, 2009

Hello all! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! This year it’s a bit tough as my mother is back in the hospital. I woke up to a crying mother very early this morning and JUST got home from driving early to the hospital this morning. (It’s 12pm) There are many things to do still. I have presents to wrap and food to make. Each year I make my notorious Macaroni and Cheese, which I will not share the recipe,…

Mommy Fitness Blog: I went running!

December 16, 2009

Monday night I took a kickboxing class! It was truly an effort as I was busy all day, but since I was so efficient, I thought the  day can’t be complete unless I finally get my butt to the gym. Funny thing is that many people haven’t seen me in a long time. One woman who always gave me great comments on my weight loss shook her head, laughed and said, “SEE, this is what happens when you look great…

Mommy Fitness Blog: Random thoughts.

December 10, 2009

I’ve been really efficient lately. I wake up early. I answer emails on a timely basis (depends on which email address you write me). I ‘ve been working out. Running errands. Cleaning house and spending quality time with my family! I haven’t been too stressed, which is awesome. My work schedule hasn’t decreased though…I just decided that I won’t procrastinate anymore. One of the things I have a problem with is doing things last minute. For example, I have two…

December 8, 2009

December 8, 2009 Last week, I was very excited when my middle school program, Tri(y!) Falcons 4 Fitness was featured in the city paper. Today we were confirmed to appear on the television show, Good Day Sacramento, on Monday! It feels so rewarding to receive public awareness and applause on a project I’ve put a lot of personal effort and work into. This is a continuing personal testament that in order to see results physically, personally or professionally, you must have faith,…

Mommy Fitness Blog: blah.

December 4, 2009

It’s been a long time since I updated this so I thought I should let y’all know where I’m at with my fitness! Well – it’s sorta there. I don’t go to the gym. I workout at my Mom-ME fit club twice a week (if I don’t have other engagements) and am still moving around a ton with the baby, house stuff and work. Honestly, my life is just really busy. Every day I wake up at 6:30am for the…

29 years of wonder.

November 30, 2009

November 30, 2009 I cry every year on my birthday. I don’t know why. It’s not because I’m getting older or that I’m not happy. I guess I cry because it is a yearly reminder that life is changing. When I was younger my biggest fear was watching my parents grow old. I didn’t want to leave the security of my childhood home…with all my siblings, pets and school routines. I didn’t want life to change. I used to cry…

November 25, 2009

November 24, 2009   It’s midnight and I just came home from the hospital.  Every night this past week has been shared with my mother in her hospital room. Last week she was re-admitted due to abnormal lab tests. After treating her for a week, they found another indication that her body is rejecting the new kidney. So instead of coming home, she will be in the hospital for the next couple weeks undergoing more treatment.   It’s been…

Real Moments.

November 18, 2009

November 17, 2009 My mother had a kidney transplant last week. Hours following the surgery she had a heart attack, in which they had to perform an emergency stent operation. It was one of the hardest days of my life. Exactly one week ago, I was rushing to the hospital with tears down my eyes, clutching my rosary and sobbing the entire devotional prayer. My whole family sat nervously in the waiting room that evening crying, praying and hoping the…

Mommy Fitness Blog: Drained.

November 13, 2009

It’s been a lllloooonnngg week. I JUST finished cleaning my house: from laundry, to trash, to dishes, to floors, etc. I am SO much happier when my house is happy. I’m also happy when my health is happy, however, I have NOT been working out as regularly and have continued my ‘life is a workout’ plan for the past two weeks. Every day I wake up sore. Every morning I wake up sleepy. And Every day I go throughout my…
